What happens if I forget my master password?
Without the master password and without a suitable means of recovery of your own, access stays closed for good. That is not a weakness but the consequence of nobody except you holding a key.
Where is my data held?
On your device. You decide yourself where it is stored and where it is backed up, for example locally, to USB or to a storage target of your own.
Is there a cloud sync across several devices?
No, an automatic cloud sync is deliberately not provided. Anyone using several devices works with their own backup and decides for themselves what goes where.
How does Clu: Kennwort differ from Clu: Tresor?
Clu: Kennwort is the password manager for everyday use. Clu: Tresor is the encrypted vault for your estate, with a printed emergency envelope and release to the heirs. Both work locally and can be used side by side.
How do I obtain Clu: Kennwort?
